About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, calibrate, and monitor retention, churn, and renewal forecasting models
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making
  • Lead the preparation of the Budget and periodic Forecast (FCST) reviews
  • Track metrics and targets related to student retention
  • Analyze large volumes of data to identify behavioral patterns, improvement opportunities, bottlenecks in the customer journey, and insights to increase retention
  • Ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of data sources
  • Perform validations, identify discrepancies, and drive data cleansing initiatives
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes, queries, and automations using SQL and Python
  • Create dashboards, reports, and executive presentations
  • Transform technical and financial data into strategic insights through storytelling for leadership and senior management
  • Partner with business teams, supporting strategic decisions through data-driven analyses, forecasts, and recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Solid experience in Planning, Market Intelligence, Retention/Student Persistence, or related Analytics areas
  • Proven experience preparing and monitoring Forecasts (FCST) and Budgets
  • Practical experience building forecasting and scenario-planning models
  • Advanced SQL proficiency for complex queries, joins, aggregations, and data manipulation
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, including libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
  • Strong ability to ensure data quality
  • Excellent communication skills and experience creating high-impact executive presentations using PowerPoint, think-cell, or BI tools
  • Preferred: experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx
  • Preferred: knowledge of Machine Learning models for retention, such as Churn and propensity models
  • Preferred: experience in the Education sector or recurring-revenue subscription services (SaaS)
