About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide back-office support to sales and ensure adherence to sales and approval processes
  • Liaise between sales and finance regarding awards, tax requirements, and compliance checks
  • Ensure consistency in KBC’s commercial offerings and align them with policies to manage risk and maintain quality revenue
  • Review proposals and perform quality checks
  • Draft, manage, negotiate, and interpret service agreements, software licenses, NDAs, and client contracts
  • Gather information and resources and prepare complex RFP, RFT, bid solicitation, and tender documents
  • Prepare and complete responses to complex bid solicitations, RFPs, and RFTs while meeting deadlines and documentation requirements
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of complex or high-risk project contracts with clients and subcontractors
  • Manage and report on team performance and set performance objectives
  • Develop or deliver budget plans
  • Identify, manage, and escalate project proposal risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints
  • Select and manage external consultants or advisers and monitor outcomes
  • Identify team development needs and provide professional development, training, or coaching

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent level of experience in Chemical Engineering, Business or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in/serving the process industry
  • Good understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of the sales process
  • Legal and contractual service experience desirable but not essential
  • Good understanding of the tender process and license agreements
  • Experience assessing commercial risks
  • Ability to work in a highly pressured and reactive role
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver quality services
  • Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
