About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, reproduce, and validate incident fixes in production support environments
- Ensure the operational stability of systems
- Analyze requirements and technical documentation to design comprehensive test scenarios
- Track testing through to User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory tests for Web, Mobile, and APIs
- Perform database queries and checks to verify business rules and validate scenarios during acceptance testing
- Collaborate with Developers and Product Managers to identify quality risks early (Shift Left)
- Create clear defect and test coverage reports to support decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proactively learn new tools, languages, and testing frameworks as required by the product
- Participate in and promote knowledge-sharing sessions (Tech Talks, Pair Testing)
- Ability to work across Web, Mobile, and APIs, with solid software engineering fundamentals
- Practical knowledge of the insurance industry, including its terminology and business rules
- Experience working on production support teams
- Experience investigating the root causes of bugs, performing rapid regression testing, and validating hotfixes
- Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL for writing queries, joins, validations, and generating test data
- Experience with manual, exploratory, and API testing
- Knowledge of Postman, Insomnia, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of test automation logic and architecture, as well as the test pyramid
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience managing test cases and defects in Jira, Xray, or Zephyr
- Nice to have: Datadog or related APM/logging tools
- Nice to have: Playwright and/or Appium
- Nice to have: Basic knowledge of CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and resilience skills
