About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and highly available platform solutions
  • Build and maintain telemetry ingestion pipelines using NetFlow, sFlow, and IPFIX
  • Support and enhance DDoS detection and mitigation platforms
  • Analyze network traffic patterns and provide insights for optimization and security
  • Define and implement Infrastructure as Code and automation strategies
  • Enable observability, monitoring, and performance optimization across platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams on platform and network initiatives
  • Integrate and support traffic intelligence platforms such as Nokia Deepfield
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to architectural standards
  • Develop and maintain documentation and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including BGP, OSPF, ISIS, DNS, and SNMP
  • Professional experience in a service provider network
  • Experience with NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, and traffic telemetry systems
  • Familiarity with DDoS detection and mitigation strategies
  • Demonstrated platform ownership and operations of DDoS platforms such as Nokia Deepfield, Netscout Arbor, or similar platforms
  • Experience with Linux/Unix systems
  • Programming/scripting skills in Python, Go, or similar
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and automation
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
  • Understanding of distributed systems and microservices
  • Experience with big data platforms such as Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience in platform engineering, network engineering, or architecture roles
  • Must be authorized to work without employment-based visa sponsorship
