About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate sales revenue by promoting Zayo products and services to targeted accounts
  • Understand network proximity to key buildings and local competitive dynamics to drive sales
  • Present proposals and manage customers through a strategic sales process
  • Maintain customer relationships, secure existing revenue, and sell net-new accounts
  • Develop account strategy, solution design, and relationship management for targeted accounts
  • Track, analyze, and report sales performance and activities in Salesforce and other reporting tools
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts of sales opportunities
  • Maintain customer activity records for sales reporting and forecasting
  • Provide accurate and timely information to management
  • Coordinate with departments to maintain customer satisfaction and meet revenue objectives
  • Work collaboratively while performing independently with minimal supervision
  • Attend regular local meetings with sales, engineering, and operations teams where local offices exist

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year College; or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience managing large and transactional deals
  • Proven ability to build relationships
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to build a deal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship building/maintaining skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate with high autonomy in a new or existing market
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrix management model
  • Strong understanding of account management and the strategic selling process
  • Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Salesforce a plus
  • General understanding of Fiber Infrastructure, Transport, IP, SD-WAN, and Security services
  • Ability to travel as required by customers
