About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the People relationship and strategy for the Agency Team.
- Advise leaders and managers on structure, talent, coaching, performance, and process improvement.
- Standardize hiring, onboarding, coaching, and development practices for frontline teams.
- Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, and change management.
- Independently manage sensitive employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, and compliance.
- Partner with Legal on escalated employee relations cases.
- Partner with workforce management on attendance policy, administration, and process improvement.
- Analyze workforce metrics including turnover/attrition, absenteeism, time to fill, and internal mobility.
- Identify training needs and design and lead practical training sessions.
- Partner on compensation actions for hourly pay structures, including shift differentials, overtime, and pay equity.
- Contribute to market data analysis, role architecture, leveling frameworks, and supporting systems and data.
- Diagnose process breakdowns and lead process changes from design through rollout and adoption.
- Serve as a senior voice on People team strategy and elevate the practice across the function.
- Report to the Director of People Business Partner and collaborate with business leadership, People colleagues, and People Operations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-7+ years of professional HR experience, with an emphasis on strategic business partnership, employee relations, and generalist work.
- Experience working with hourly, call-center, and/or sales employees.
- Experience independently managing high case volume employee relations issues.
- Proven ability to operate with autonomy and influence leaders and managers.
- Builder's instinct and commitment to identifying and improving gaps.
- Comfort analyzing data, documenting decisions, and establishing structure.
- Working knowledge of FMLA, EEO, ADA, and applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Experience with an hourly workforce, leave management, and ADA interactive process, ideally at scale.
- Strong relationship-building skills with frontline leaders.
- Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action are central to professional practice.
- Ability to work occasional non-standard hours supporting multi-shift/extended-hours operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred: experience supporting sales, commissioned, or quota-carrying teams.
- Preferred: experience supporting hourly populations or contact center environments.
- Preferred: exposure to compensation structures, job architecture, or leveling frameworks.
- Preferred: background in tech, insurance, or another scaling B2C business.
- Preferred: PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification.
- Must be based in the United States; the company is unable to hire in California or Massachusetts.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or visa transfers.
