About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze operational datasets to identify trends, track performance metrics, and support data-driven decisions
- Assist in reviewing and improving existing workflows to drive operational efficiency and eliminate bottlenecks
- Maintain and update reports, trackers, and visual dashboards to provide visibility on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to address day-to-day operational needs and support ongoing initiatives
- Execute a designated individual or team project and present actionable recommendations and findings to leadership
- Develop planning, organizational, and leadership skills
- Increase technology knowledge and skills
- Develop team-based work proficiencies
- Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow-up activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate (MS/MBA) degree program in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical/engineering field
- Must have an anticipated graduation date between May 2027 - December 2029
- Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Prior coursework, certifications, or project experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., value stream mapping, 5S, root-cause analysis)
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Experience with time-study standards, line balancing, or factory floor flow simulation
- Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management tools such as Oracle Agile PLM or similar systems
- Practical or academic project experience developing interactive dashboards and automated reports using Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
- Prior internship, engineering co-op, or major university capstone project demonstrating process optimization, cost-reduction, or supply chain readiness in a manufacturing, repair, or distribution facility
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, XLookup, VLookup, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, and basic data modeling
- Ability to translate complex quantitative data into actionable business narratives and present insights to managers and cross-functional teams
- Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
- Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
- Ability to collaborate as part of a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
