About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support for geographically dispersed career center staff delivering individualized and comprehensive services under the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) Program
  • Ensure contract-related activities, government interface, and personnel management follow corporate policies and management philosophy
  • Serve as the primary corporate management resource for approximately 15 career advisors
  • Manage employees virtually and oversee the direction, coordination, and performance evaluation of the career advising team
  • Interview, hire, train, plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise and coach performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve issues
  • Provide program guidance and quality-control monitoring and feedback
  • Implement industry-standard contact center practices
  • Collaborate with the integrated contract management team and work independently on tasks and projects
  • Provide individualized performance coaching and professional development
  • Complete required deliverables accurately, professionally, and on time
  • Contribute to new initiatives
  • Create content for and conduct presentations for internal constituents

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Education, Career Counseling, Human Resources, Social Services, Business/Program Management or related field; OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 4 years of experience supporting Contact Center Operations
  • 2 years of experience in social service program administration/management
  • 3 years of personnel management/staff supervision, preferably in a contact center environment
  • Prior SECO Senior Advisor or SECO Career Center Monitor experience may substitute for up to one year
  • Familiarity with government contracting
  • Ability to quickly pivot to changing contract priorities and requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams preferred
  • Direct military lifestyle or population knowledge or experience preferred
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Valid driver’s license, transportation, and auto insurance
  • Ability to complete and clear the full government background check process
  • Ability to work the 1:30pm–10:00pm EST shift
  • Ability to use personal computers, telephones, copiers, printers, and other office equipment
