About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and continuously develop Engineering Services standards, guidelines, and internal specifications
Lead the development and enhancement of a centralized, AI-powered platform for standards and engineering knowledge
Strategically develop the ZEISS standards portfolio and standards management system
Coordinate standardization activities and represent technological interests in relevant national and international committees
Ensure compliance with licensing rules, manage chargeback processes, and continuously optimize licensing models
Provide advice on the procurement of standards
Align with stakeholders from R&D, Engineering, Operations, and IT
Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the areas of responsibility
Provide functional leadership and coordinate interdisciplinary teams and project contributors
Develop, align, and implement the central standardization strategy at ZEISS

Requirements

What you’ll need

Successfully completed university degree, preferably in engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
Several years of professional experience in product development, engineering, or design engineering
Several years of experience as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or in a comparable role with responsibility for complex products, processes, or platforms
In-depth knowledge of standardization, standards, and technical regulations
Knowledge of knowledge management and process optimization
Strong strategic, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to reconcile different interests
Strong stakeholder orientation, persuasive ability, and assertiveness
Very good written and spoken German and English skills
