About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the commissioning team in all on-site and off-site commissioning activities
- Configure software and validate firmware
- Set up authentication and integrate CMS platforms
- Conduct testing and commissioning
- Maintain and update the technical commissioning baseline as the product evolves
- Brief and equip the team before product changes reach live sites
- Define project exit and acceptance criteria before commissioning begins
- Identify opportunities for off-site pre-assembly and testing to reduce on-site risk
- Define testing protocols and quality standards cross-functionally
- Build and maintain a documented, version-controlled commissioning process
- Develop commissioning scope inputs for procurement and contractor RFQs
- Define document repository specifications and contractual submission requirements
- Track first-time commissioning completion rates and improve processes and SOW scope
- Own the commissioning function’s role in CMS integration and manage CMS-related issues through resolution
- Lead, develop, and retain the team
- Build internal capability in QMS application, third-party testing oversight, and data package quality
- Report commissioning performance to the Director of Delivery
- Maintain the prerequisite framework as products, territories, and processes evolve
- Contribute to health, safety, wellbeing, and sustainability practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on commissioning experience with EV charging or energy storage systems
- Personally configured systems, validated firmware, set up authentication, and troubleshot CMS integration on live projects
- Experience building a commissioning process from scratch, documenting it, and implementing it with a team
- Understanding of commissioning scope in contractor SOWs and the related commercial consequences
- Experience defining cross-functional dependencies and holding teams accountable for delivery
- Experience leading a small technical team
- Ability to identify skill gaps and develop team members during organizational change
- Useful but not essential: commissioning experience across multiple territories, including the UK, North America, Australia, Spain, and/or Benelux
- Familiarity with CMS platforms
- Exposure to ISO 9001 or equivalent QMS frameworks
- Experience working alongside Asset Management or operational teams at project handover
- Must be able to work without visa sponsorship; Zenobē cannot provide visa sponsorship or financial support toward visa-related costs
