About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design process from discovery and user research through high-fidelity prototyping and post-launch optimization
- Simplify complex insurance logic into clear, accessible user journeys
- Create service blueprints mapping the entire policy lifecycle
- Use product analytics and A/B testing results to validate designs and improve conversion
- Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Tech Leads on technical feasibility and product roadmap alignment
- Contribute to and advocate for the internal design system
- Support consistency, accessibility, and scalability across the platform
- Provide feedback during design reviews
- Mentor intermediate and junior designers
- Lead design strategy across customer-facing and internal applications
- Own key product areas and improve design processes and collaboration
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design
- Proven track record, ideally within Fintech, Insurtech, or complex SaaS environments
- Portfolio showcasing the design thinking process, constraints, and complex user flows
- Expert-level skills in Figma
- Familiarity with modern hand-off and research tools
- Ability to balance "blue-sky" vision with MVP reality in an agile, fast-moving startup
- Ability to articulate the rationale behind design decisions to stakeholders
- Ability to turn data and research into compelling narratives
