About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement and manage the Predictive Maintenance program, including vibration analysis, infrared, ultrasonic, and oil analysis
- Manage the Mechanical Integrity program for the Texas and Mississippi manufacturing plants
- Work with maintenance leaders at both sites to ensure 100% compliance
- Manage the corporate risk insurance program and coordinate audits at both sites
- Evaluate Mechanical Integrity reports, Fitness for Service, and repair plans
- Maintain the long-term equipment asset replacement plan and ensure budget inclusion of major equipment
- Review and monitor rotating equipment conditions using vibration, lube oil, infrared, and ultrasound data
- Use critical operating process data to evaluate equipment health
- Manage ZCLP Predictive Maintenance and Mechanical Integrity databases
- Analyze equipment histories, maintenance costs, and system failures; develop an asset management strategy
- Drive the Site Bad Actor Program and metrics
- Provide PdM data history for root cause analysis
- Manage third-party Mechanical Integrity inspection service contractors
- Support Design for Reliability, Maintainability, and Inspectability for new equipment projects and designs
- Ensure technical documents, drawings, OEM manuals, and support documents are presented at equipment commissioning
- Set up new or redesigned equipment in SAP with Equipment Criticality Prioritization and Asset Strategies
- Report PdM and Mechanical Integrity KPIs in the Reliance database
- Identify and correct potential equipment problems
- Recommend and monitor continuous remote monitoring systems and applications
- Facilitate root cause failure analysis and proactive FMECA/RCM
- Recommend and implement preventive maintenance optimization
- Lead the site spare parts strategy based on equipment criticality, lead times, benefit/cost versus risk analyses
- Use reliability analytics and modeling to analyze trends, build models, and project probability of failure and mechanical availability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in predictive maintenance of rotating equipment with data analysis and database management in chemical/petrochemical facility
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in evaluating tank, piping and heat exchanger condition in accordance with ASME, API or STI standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated and well organized
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to perform hands-on field work, including testing and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to travel
- Prefer certifications or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, IR Thermography and Ultrasound Analysis
- Proficiency in SAP CMMS preferred
- Must complete a physical exam including drug screen
- Must pass a background check
