About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead analytics initiatives end to end, from problem definition and solution design through delivery and adoption
Consult with stakeholders and customers to understand business needs and translate complex questions into analytical approaches and outcomes
Build metrics and analytical products for strategic and operational decisions
Work hands-on with large, complex datasets and ensure data is structured and reliable
Identify opportunities where data, advanced analytics or automation can improve processes or create value
Build business cases for data and analytics opportunities
Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to move prototypes and proofs of concept into production
Support data pipelines, analytical models and GenAI-enabled solutions
Advise clients on data governance, data products and data contracts
Challenge assumptions with data and drive adoption and understanding of delivered solutions
Mentor junior colleagues through feedback, guidance and knowledge sharing
Move between varied client engagements, adapting to changing problems, data environments and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least four years of experience delivering data, analytics or business intelligence work in client-facing or cross-functional environments
Strong ability to translate ambiguous business problems into analytical approaches
Experience managing stakeholder relationships across business and technical audiences
Experience contributing to business cases, scoping analytical work and guiding delivery through ambiguity
Experience applying AI and advanced analytics to business problems and decision making
Advanced proficiency in SQL
Solid experience with Python or equivalent for data analysis and manipulation
Experience working in cloud-based analytics environments
Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, GCP or AWS
Familiarity with a modern data platform such as Databricks or Snowflake
Solid working knowledge of BI and visualization tools
Experience with Tableau, Power BI or Looker
Agile environment experience, including backlog refinement and iterative delivery, is an asset
Familiarity with analytics engineering is an asset
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is an asset
Familiarity with Jira or Confluence is an asset
Experience moving analytical solutions from exploration into production is an asset
