About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead preparation, review, and analysis of complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and schedules
  • Interpret and apply accounting guidance to new or unusual transactions and document conclusions for audit support
  • Coordinate month-end and quarter-end close activities
  • Identify variance root causes, resolve discrepancies, and recommend process improvements
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, controls, and process documentation
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and business partners on accounting insights and general-ledger initiatives
  • Analyze account trends and drivers and prepare management summaries
  • Support system and process changes by defining accounting requirements, testing outcomes, and validating data integrity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8+ years of professional accounting experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or a related finance role
  • Active CPA license strongly preferred
  • Foundation in public accounting and strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Google Gemini in accounting and/or Finance environments
  • Experience performing and reviewing complex reconciliations, period-end close activities, and variance analysis in a high-volume or multi-entity environment
  • Experience working with modern ERP or financial systems and spreadsheet tools
  • Prior experience in public accounting as an auditor is a plus
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
