About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as Studio Z's videographer and internal content creator across a wide range of formats and conditions
- Design and execute lighting for interviews, narrative, and product setups
- Capture reliable production audio across interviews, scripted, vodcast, and documentary-style shoots, including multi-cam and multi-mic situations
- Edit, mix, color, and finish work in Adobe Premiere Pro, creating versions for long-form YouTube and vertical social cutdowns
- Build or use motion graphics templates and animate product UI in After Effects from Figma product design systems
- Support concept development and shoot planning, including creative direction, shot lists, storyboards, scouting, scheduling, talent and location logistics, and budget decisions
- Own and maintain camera, lighting, and audio equipment and drive equipment investments
- Partner with Post Production to develop remote, cloud-based production-to-post workflows, including footage management, proxies, templates, delivery, backup, and archiving
- Direct and manage external vendors, on-set crews, and in-house support crew
- Share knowledge, document workflows, and improve team creative and production capabilities
- Travel variably for shoots and retreats
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years across video production, cinematography, editing, and motion graphics
- Reel of work personally shot
- Ability to independently carry a shoot, including scouting, lighting, miking, operating, and wrapping
- Deep camera and technical content creation expertise
- Ability to light and capture clean audio quickly in imperfect spaces
- Strong editing and storytelling skills
- Fluency in Adobe Premiere Pro preferred or DaVinci Resolve
- Experience with After Effects and UI product animation from Figma design files is a plus
- Experience with remote production and cloud-based post workflows such as LucidLink and Frame.io
- Curiosity about AI and emerging creative tools
- Photography and drone experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in film, communications, design, or a related field preferred but not required
