About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, train, and motivate mortgage processing staff
- Oversee daily volume and monitor workloads
- Help meet or exceed service-level standards
- Ensure the processing team delivers high-quality customer service
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date loan records in Encompass360
- Document loan-level communications
- Work with Loan Originators, Underwriters, Closers, credit reporting agencies, AMCs, title companies, employers, landlords, and other parties to complete loan files
- Support mortgage loan origination and fulfillment
- Onboard new associates and provide training and coaching
- Monitor workloads and manage staff hours and overtime costs
- Develop and execute productivity-improvement plans
- Identify people, processes, and tools needed for success
- Analyze situations, identify issues, and take accountability for resolution
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years prior experience in mortgage loan processing
- At least 2+ years in management
- Service-focused, with superior time-management and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced service-focused environment
- Experience processing Conventional, FHA, USDA, and VA loans preferred
- Familiarity with Encompass360 preferred
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external partners
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects in a changing environment
