About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and lead product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Zillow’s design systems
  • Define and mature data, success metrics, and measurement for product performance and customer and business value
  • Prioritize investments across capabilities, adoption, system quality, support, accessibility, technical investment, and scalability
  • Monitor design-system practices, accessibility standards, and AI-enabled development and translate changes into roadmap decisions
  • Understand how designers, engineers, and product managers use foundational systems, including workflows, needs, and friction points
  • Use customer discovery, adoption data, and product-health insights to inform roadmap decisions
  • Identify adoption barriers and prioritize product, tooling, workflow, and enablement improvements
  • Lead alignment across Design, Engineering, Product, and senior stakeholders
  • Define product strategy for accessibility systems, tooling, and product-health capabilities
  • Develop accessibility health observability, tooling, and integrations
  • Evolve automated accessibility checks, audits, and remediation systems
  • Identify systemic accessibility issues and determine when to solve them centrally
  • Partner with the Principal Program Manager for Accessibility on scalable product investments
  • Evolve design systems and accessibility standards for AI-enabled workflows
  • Partner across Design Tech, Engineering, and DevEx to shape AI-enabled systems and tooling
  • Evaluate AI-enabled workflows’ effects on adoption, accessibility, quality, and efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of product management or relevant experience
  • Led complex design systems, platforms, internal tools, or other horizontal products across multiple teams for 3+ years
  • Technical fluency to understand complex systems and navigate technical trade-offs
  • Commitment to accessible, inclusive digital products and motivation to deepen accessibility expertise
  • Strong product judgment and ability to synthesize complex, ambiguous inputs into clear product direction, strategy, priorities, and trade-offs
  • Experience using product data and measurement to understand performance, demonstrate customer and business value, and guide investment decisions
  • Clear communication with working teams and senior leaders
  • Ability to build alignment on complex decisions and influence partners and roadmaps without direct authority
  • Strong AI fluency and use of AI to improve product-management work
  • Understanding of how AI is changing product development
  • Nice-to-have: demonstrated expertise in design systems, including product-managing strategy, adoption, governance, and evolution
  • Nice-to-have: demonstrated experience advancing digital accessibility, including applying WCAG 2.2 Level AA
  • Nice-to-have: experience driving adoption of internal platforms or systems across distributed teams
  • Nice-to-have: experience with AI-enabled development tools, MCPs, AI skills, agents, evaluation systems, or related emerging technologies
