About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive delivery of Zinc’s 2-year security roadmap covering workplace identity, cyber attack protection, workforce security, ecosystem resilience and secure software development
Address outstanding audit findings and recommendations and support compliance deadlines
Work with engineering and other business teams to drive security improvements and influence decisions
Implement new systems and roll out security controls
Design, implement or mature IAM controls, including MFA, JML processes and RBAC
Report to Peter Cave

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience managing and securing Google Workspace environments
Experience working with AWS environments and their security
Understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and endpoint security
Experience using Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools to monitor, detect and respond to threats
Experience with threat intelligence and vulnerability management
Familiarity with OWASP SAMM / Secure SDLC maturity models (nice to have)
Experience implementing Privileged Identity Management (PIM) or Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions (nice to have)
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CRISC (nice to have)
Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and drive security initiatives
Confidence influencing and gaining buy-in from teams, particularly engineering, without direct authority
Ability to manage competing priorities and urgent demands
Ability to explain technical concepts and security risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to balance security approaches with practical business needs
