About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build, test, and release new integrations with third-party ATS and HRIS platforms
Harden existing integrations by replacing deprecated mechanisms and strengthening error handling, retries, and idempotency
Own Partner API endpoint design, versioning, webhooks, documentation, and sandbox
Create reusable connector and mapping layers
Build internal tooling and observability for Integration Support
Act as escalation point by diagnosing and fixing issues Support cannot resolve
Provide technical feasibility input to Product and Partnerships during discovery and planning
Review code, set testing standards, and occasionally work on Vue/Nuxt integration settings screens
Collaborate with Product, Partnerships, and Integration Support
Report to the Engineering Manager for Integrations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience building and maintaining production integrations against third-party APIs in code rather than configuration
Production experience with TypeScript and Node.js
Proficiency with REST APIs and webhooks
Experience with OAuth2, pagination, rate limits, retries, and idempotency
Comfort moving data between JSON, XML, and SOAP
Proficiency with Jest
Experience with contract and integration tests using mocks
