About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute sales strategies to maximize performance within the assigned geography.
  • Meet overall sales objectives and growth-product quotas through demand generation.
  • Launch new products and service offerings and generate new equipment leads.
  • Demonstrate solution selling, technical knowledge, veterinary practice expertise, and customer value delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with targeted hospitals and personnel.
  • Follow Zoetis promotional guidelines.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans and resource allocation.
  • Meet field activity expectations, including sales calls and investment in medical education programs.
  • Develop and execute account- and veterinarian-level call cycles.
  • Collaborate with Zoetis Petcare colleagues while meeting integrity, compliance, administrative, communication, and teamwork expectations.
  • Manage assigned expense budgets and use analytics and insights to support decision-making.
  • Travel within the territory and work some evenings for educational programs.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required.
  • 3-10 years of documented and successful consultative sales experience.
  • Success in previous roles including creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance.
  • Animal Health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine.
  • Verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful / fair decisions based on relevant information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems.
  • Ability to manage assigned expense budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings as required by the position.
