About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive sales performance within the assigned geography using solution selling, territory management, Zoetis resources, organizational relationships, and professional development
  • Meet and exceed overall sales objectives and key growth product quotas
  • Launch new product and service offerings
  • Balance a broad portfolio to achieve territory and business needs
  • Demonstrate success in growth rates and improve overall business health
  • Build technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise
  • Build and service relationships with targeted hospitals and personnel
  • Interact with customers according to Zoetis promotional guidelines
  • Use insight and consultative selling techniques to teach clients about their industry and connect their needs to Zoetis solutions
  • Develop and execute an annual Territory Business Plan
  • Develop and implement SMART goals across the Zoetis portfolio
  • Use Zoetis resources, samples, educational materials, and events to maximize ROI
  • Use the Customer Relationship Management system to identify account growth opportunities
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with the Inside and Digital Sales Manager and adjust territory strategies, tactics, and investments
  • Collaborate with Zoetis colleagues, internal stakeholders, external customers, and cross-functional teams
  • Complete Zoetis product and industry Learning and Development curriculum
  • Complete an annual Individual Development Plan
  • Attend regional and national sales meetings and onsite educational trainings as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree required
  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) preferred
  • Animal Health experience and knowledge of veterinary medicine preferred
  • Success in previous roles including creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance
  • Uses analytics and insights to enhance decision-making and tactical execution
  • Ability to manage assigned expense budgets
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a succinct manor
  • Professional demeanor and presentation style
  • Highly focused and results oriented, able to identify and manage goals and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment
  • Willingness to accept and incorporate feedback
  • Computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, and ability to learn Zoetis systems)
  • All applicants must possess or obtain authorization to work in the US for Zoetis
  • Limited travel, including regional and national sales meetings and onsite educational trainings
