About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive sales performance within the assigned geography using solution selling, territory management, Zoetis resources, organizational relationships, and professional development
  • Attend regional and national sales meetings and onsite educational trainings as required
  • Meet and exceed overall sales objectives and key growth product quotas
  • Launch new product and service offerings
  • Balance a broad portfolio to achieve territory and business needs
  • Demonstrate success in growth rates and improve overall business health
  • Demonstrate solution selling capabilities and build technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise
  • Build relationships with and service targeted hospitals and personnel
  • Interact with customers following Zoetis promotional guidelines
  • Use consultative selling techniques to teach clients about their industry and connect business needs to Zoetis solutions
  • Meet department KPIs for customer engagement and utilization of Zoetis tools and technologies
  • Develop and execute an annual Territory Business Plan using industry insights, SWOT analysis, strategies, and tactics
  • Develop and implement SMART goals across the Zoetis portfolio and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Use Zoetis resources, including samples, educational materials, and events, to maximize ROI
  • Use the CRM system to identify account growth opportunities
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with the Inside and Digital Sales Manager and adjust strategies, tactics, and investments
  • Work professionally with Zoetis colleagues while meeting integrity, compliance, communication, administrative, and teamwork expectations
  • Work in cross-functional team-based environments across in-person and virtual platforms
  • Align with and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete Zoetis product and industry Learning and Development curriculum
  • Complete an annual Individual Development Plan
  • Accept and incorporate feedback

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree required
  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) preferred
  • Animal Health experience and knowledge of veterinary medicine preferred
  • Success in previous roles including creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance
  • Exemplifies what it means to be a change agent, continuous learner, and pushing self / others beyond dominant logic
  • Adept at working in highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing environments
  • Uses analytics and insights to enhance decision-making and tactical execution
  • Follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage assigned expense budgets
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a succinct manor
  • Professional demeanor and presentation style
  • Highly focused and results oriented, able to identify and manage goals and priorities
