About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and facilitate the Imagyst medical platform leads team
- Provide medical input for lifecycle maintenance and development of Imagyst testing platforms
- Ensure medical affairs collaboration across virtual lab products and services for medical education and marketing
- Support on-market and in-development research and study design
- Maintain quality and monitor clinical performance of Imagyst diagnostic indications
- Create veterinary and sales support materials for new product launches
- Provide strategic input to product management, global commercial development, research and development, and marketing teams
- Develop strategies supporting collaboration across the diagnostic and Zoetis brand portfolios
- Provide diagnostic medical expertise to marketing, Learning and Development, and other Zoetis groups
- Co-lead marketing programs, product-focused workgroups, product launches, and marketing plans
- Lead customer activities, advisory boards, KOL development, and customer education/training meetings
- Identify, develop, and engage key opinion leaders for studies, advisory boards, and speaking opportunities
- Oversee medical validation studies for new algorithms and product development
- Establish instrument requirements and laboratory quality benchmarks for evaluation and validation studies
- Identify technical, medical, and business gaps and suggest product enhancements and innovation ideas
- Develop data generation and study plans, including Phase III, Phase IV, and outcomes research
- Work with R&D and KOLs on study proposals and execution
- Advise Learning and Development and medical education teams on training programs and technical content
- Participate in cross-functional product teams and lead multidisciplinary groups
- Guide initiatives with minimal oversight, manage projects and deadlines, resolve conflicts, and influence management at all levels
- Demonstrate Zoetis leadership behaviors and identify continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years of prior industry experience required
- Minimum 5 years of team leadership and management experience required
- Diplomate of College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology or other specialty and/or extensive diagnostic method validation experience or research experience strongly recommended
- AI, Diagnostic and/or research experience strongly recommended
- Strong foundational understanding of veterinary industry trends required
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with various stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate and effectively work within cross-functional teams
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Ability to work and navigate in an environment of regulatory and legal processes
- Excellent judgment in conflict management and influence
- Ability to think and act strategically
- Ability to interact with and influence Senior Management, peers, and representatives from other functional groups
