About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell diagnostic instruments, tests, and related services within an assigned territory and achieve sales quotas
  • Build and maintain customer relationships to maximize retention and customer value
  • Develop product and competitive-positioning knowledge
  • Conduct daily customer-facing activities with existing accounts and new business opportunities
  • Drive extensively and travel overnight periodically within the assigned territory
  • Communicate product uses, benefits, and value propositions through demonstrations and presentations
  • Secure purchase orders and manage opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Lead post-sale onboarding, installation support/validation, and customer training
  • Identify customer pain points and implement workflow improvements
  • Provide onsite and remote support, troubleshooting, and escalation coordination
  • Maintain CRM documentation for customer interactions and outcomes
  • Generate leads and referrals, including competitive placements and academia/research opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales, accounting, and technical support teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree required or equivalent relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of demonstrated sales experience
  • Relevant technical/clinical experience, preferably in medical, scientific, healthcare, or veterinary settings
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a clinical setting preferred
  • Veterinary technology program degree and/or credentialed veterinary technician background preferred
  • Strong technical sales capability and ability to absorb and apply technical information
  • Expertise with veterinary terminology/science and diagnostic instrumentation/workflows
  • Excellent presentation and training skills
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organization, prioritization, time management, and CRM documentation skills
  • Customer service, independent decision-making, and follow-through
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance
  • Must speak fluent English
