About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support medical education, commercial plans, and pipeline/new product activities for assigned U.S. Petcare Strategic Partnerships accounts
- Grow and strengthen Zoetis relationships with medical leadership in assigned accounts
- Lead development of medical education plans for assigned customers
- Build relationships with customer medical and field leadership
- Partner with Strategic Partner, U.S. Medical Affairs, and Petcare VPS colleagues to deliver medical education
- Facilitate uptake and utilization of Zoetis products and influence focus therapeutic areas
- Lead medical strategy for new product launches within assigned accounts
- Identify and develop Key Opinion Leaders to advocate for Zoetis brands
- Align with partner teams to achieve projected account performance outcomes
- Grow or defend emphasis products and manage resources for growth and profitability
- Develop and execute medical components of commercial plans
- Collaborate on medical education plans, priorities, and strategic imperatives
- Maintain knowledge of brand strategies and position Zoetis products appropriately
- Collaborate with VMIPS on customer use of medical information and product support resources
- Review product performance and pharmacovigilance reporting with Medical Affairs, VPS, VMIPS, and VMRD leadership
- Collaborate across the U.S. Petcare Strategic Partnerships Team and with field-based professional service veterinarians
- Ensure account plans align with U.S. commercial strategies
- Build relationships across Regulatory Affairs, Outcomes Research, VMIPS, and Global Medical Affairs
- Support strategic planning and program delivery with customers and U.S. Petcare colleagues
- Collaborate on Key Opinion Leader and medical communication strategy
- Represent Zoetis credibly within assigned accounts and the company
- Attend and contribute to selected professional organization meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent
- 5 years post-doctoral experience in clinical practice, academia, research or industry
- Animal health industry experience including veterinary professional services, research, sales/account management, large account management and/or marketing
- Proficiency with online video hosting platforms, including Zoom
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven leadership ability
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to embrace complexity and rapid, continuous change
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team-based environment
- Ability to align with and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to build and manage relationships at all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated strategic, directional thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability for matrix management
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing environments
- Project/process management and attention to detail
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful/fair decisions based on relevant information
- Computer skills, including MS Office and AI, and ability to learn Zoetis systems
- Ability to travel at least 50%, including occasional weekend travel
- Authorization to work in the US; sponsorship may be pursued at Zoetis’s discretion
