About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute global medical initiatives supporting the Companion Animal Pain portfolio and category growth, differentiation, and customer value creation
- Translate global medical strategies into actionable programs, tools, and initiatives
- Lead short-, medium-, and long-term medical plans for the Companion Animal Pain portfolio
- Support global medical priorities across markets in collaboration with regional and country medical teams
- Monitor execution and impact of medical initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support the global portfolio-specific KOL engagement strategy
- Coordinate KOL interactions and scientific exchange activities
- Plan and execute advisory boards, expert consultations, and other scientific engagement activities
- Identify emerging scientific trends, market needs, and customer insights
- Develop and deliver scientific messaging and medical content for international congresses, scientific meetings, and industry events
- Represent Zoetis in customer-facing scientific forums
- Ensure consistency and scientific integrity of external medical communications across global markets
- Gather, synthesize, and communicate customer insights and emerging medical needs
- Connect global and local teams so market learnings inform medical planning and execution
- Partner with the Pain Brand Team and Global Marketing to align medical and commercial activities
- Collaborate with Center of Excellence functions and above-market teams to create customer-focused tools, programs, and marketing assets
- Contribute medical expertise to integrated brand planning and execution
- Support omnichannel and digital customer engagement initiatives from a medical perspective
- Develop scientifically accurate medical content and technical communication materials
- Lead medical training programs across global markets
- Ensure materials and activities comply with scientific, regulatory, and ethical standards
- Promote best practices and consistent scientific messaging across regions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree) required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in veterinary medical roles with in-Market customer facing experience in the animal health industry
- Strong understanding of Companion Animal pain management, including clinical practice, customer needs, and emerging scientific developments
- Demonstrated experience supporting the execution of medical strategies, programs, and initiatives across multiple markets or regions
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate complex cross-functional projects in a global matrix environment
- Experience collaborating with marketing, commercial, medical affairs, and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong scientific communication skills and experience developing and delivering medical presentations, training programs, educational materials, and customer-facing scientific content
- Experience engaging with veterinary Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), specialists, academic institutions, and professional organisations
- Ability to translate scientific data and medical insights into practical and compelling customer value propositions
- Experience gathering, interpreting, and incorporating customer and market insights into medical initiatives and execution plans
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and manage stakeholders across diverse functions, regions, and cultures
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Proven track record of operational excellence, attention to detail, and successful execution of complex initiatives
- Ability to lead and influence across a global matrix organisation without direct authority
