About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop understanding of fundamental credit research
- Provide quantitative and analytical support to senior credit analysts investing in corporate bonds and bank loans
- Support the credit research team across multiple industries, including updating financial models and handling ad hoc research requests
- Assist in coverage of smaller holdings by analyzing earnings, news, financials, and other relevant information
- Maintain spreadsheets and databases supporting the investment process
- Lead projects to enhance the overall credit research process
- Increasingly work independently on a sustained, regular basis
- Develop and maintain internal and external relationships
- Potentially assume primary company coverage as skills evolve
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA required
- Fluency with Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, Capital IQ and/or SNL
- Familiarity with financial statement analysis
- Strong communication skills
- A minimum of 2 years of investment industry and/or research experience preferred
- MBA preferred
- CFA Charter preferred
