Key responsibilities & impact- Complete site surveys and create structured network designs supporting voice, data, security, and audiovisual systems
- Design engineered drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documents
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams, project teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and technical resources
- Analyze business and technical requirements to develop system designs, estimates, implementation plans, and management and customer reports
- Coordinate structured cabling design with other design disciplines
- Implement network solutions supporting on-premises and cloud environments
- Manage production of network devices and network architecture design
- Develop supporting documentation required for implementation in the global network
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with network engineering
- Experience with commercial hardware, networks, and cloud environments
- Experience with security, routing, and switching protocols, including BGP and OSPF
- Experience with SD-WAN
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
- Detail-oriented, able to multitask and prioritize
- Secret clearance required
- HS diploma or GED
- Nice to have: experience with networking technologies and core Internet protocols, wireless, and distributed networks
- Nice to have: experience with Cisco, HP, Aruba, Palo Alto, Arista, and Juniper networking solutions
- Nice to have: experience with AWS and Azure and network-layer solution design, configuration, provisioning, and deployment
- Nice to have: knowledge of structured cabling and installation standards
- Nice to have: Bachelor's degree
