About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of 3-5 engineers fully responsible for designing, optimizing, and developing features in an NPU/DSP simulator for the edge market
  • Design and develop simulation software for Ceva’s NPU and DSP platforms within an agile software organization
  • Perform in-depth analysis and optimization of simulator performance and accuracy across multiple Ceva processor architectures
  • Debug and deliver solutions to complex software challenges in a large existing codebase
  • Interact and engage with architecture, algorithms, system, VLSI, and QA teams, including remote design centers
  • Support simulators used by architecture, algorithms, system, VLSI, QA teams, and Ceva customers running advanced AI networks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
  • 2+ years in managerial positions of SW teams
  • Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills, including OOP design of complex embedded software systems
  • Comfortable diving into an existing codebase to make modifications
  • Strong scripting skills
  • Enthusiastic about ML, AI and Computer Vision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Independent, self-motivated and curious
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Experience in Python and in deploying AI/ML models is advantageous
  • Experience developing a simulator for hardware, or modelling internal mechanisms of ASIC platforms is advantageous
  • SystemC/TLM experience is advantageous
  • Experience developing in Linux environments is advantageous
