About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support day-to-day content creation, curation, and publishing for Complex Latin social channels
- Identify, pitch, and execute timely stories, breaking news, trending topics, and cultural conversations
- Write, edit, and publish social copy in English and Spanish
- Create and edit graphics, carousels, short-form videos, and other platform-native content
- Ensure published content is accurate, properly sourced, engaging, and culturally authentic
- Collaborate with the lead Social Editor and broader Social team
- Support live social coverage of major cultural moments, events, and tentpoles
- Assist with social execution of commerce, experiential, and branded initiatives
- Follow editorial workflows, publishing standards, and content tagging requirements
- Incorporate editorial feedback, platform best practices, and performance learnings
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–3+ years of experience in social media publishing, digital editorial, or content creation
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish
- Deep knowledge of U.S. Latino culture and its diverse communities
- Understanding of Complex's editorial identity and the intersections between Latin culture, hip-hop, sneakers, sports, and broader pop culture
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills
- Understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube Shorts
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or comparable software
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively
- Availability to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
