• Manage complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations
• Conduct prompt, thorough, fair, and impartial investigations into complaints, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, policy violations, and workplace behavior
• Develop investigation plans, interview witnesses, gather and evaluate evidence, assess credibility, and determine whether allegations are substantiated
• Prepare objective investigation reports, findings, and recommended actions
• Maintain confidential investigation and employee relations case files and track cases through resolution
• Coordinate with People and Culture leadership and legal counsel on complex, high-risk, or legally sensitive investigations
• Serve as a primary contact for employee complaints, workplace conflicts, and employee relations concerns
• Facilitate difficult conversations, coach managers, and recommend interventions such as mediation, coaching, corrective action, or referrals
• Manage unemployment claims, agency requests, appeals, hearing preparation, deadlines, and records
• Prepare position statements, timelines, exhibits, and materials for unemployment proceedings
• Represent the organization during unemployment hearings when authorized
• Interpret and administer People and Culture policies and support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Assist with employment policy development, revision, communication, implementation, audits, reporting, and record retention
• Coach managers on performance expectations, feedback, documentation, attendance, conduct, and performance issues
• Review performance improvement plans, warnings, corrective actions, termination reviews, and separation meetings
• Develop and deliver training on investigations, respectful workplaces, conflict resolution, performance management, documentation, and policy compliance
• Analyze employee relations data, prepare leadership reports, and recommend process, policy, and communication improvements
• Participate in People and Culture programs supporting engagement, retention, accountability, and workplace culture
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
