About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate, consult and make decisions with Sales, Strategic Relationship Management and other internal departments on pre-sale pricing, repricing and client retention efforts
Provide pricing and financial model information and insights, including sales and revenue forecasting, and present findings as required
Analyze financial, profitability and competitive information to support business decisions
Participate in change management initiatives to improve existing tools and processes
Develop new tools, process efficiencies and automated solutions with Pricing Management and the Pricing Officer
Represent the Pricing Team on assigned projects and pricing-related matters
Provide leadership support for the day-to-day operations of the Pricing Team
Support Pricing Management and the Pricing Officer with project management and ad hoc analysis
Mentor team members and support training for existing employees and new hires

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience in the financial services industry, including pricing experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related business field
Experience with financial reporting, pricing, underwriting or risk analysis, and marketplace analytics
Advanced analytical capabilities, including experience working with large data sets
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
Strong analytical, communication and writing skills
Excellent attention to detail and sound business and client judgment
Proactive critical thinking, with a willingness to innovate and challenge the status quo
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Demonstrated accountability, a team-first mindset, a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Preferred: 2 years of experience in the defined contribution and/or defined benefit industry
Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Access, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word, Salesforce, Adobe, PeopleSoft or other financial reporting and modelling programs
Preferred: Demonstrated big-picture thinking and a desire to lead change that supports business growth and profitability
