Key responsibilities & impact- Take responsibility for industrial projects of varying scopes and sizes
- Conduct regular site visits with clients in the Quebec City region
- Participate in the design, coordination, and preparation of technical drawings and specifications for the modification or installation of mechanical equipment and piping systems in industrial environments
- Develop and validate solutions with designers, then present them to clients
- Plan and coordinate the various stages of projects
- Ensure rigorous project management in accordance with best practices
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to propose solutions tailored to clients’ needs
- Conduct site surveys and, when required, oversee construction activities
- Participate in preparing reports and technical specifications
- Gather and analyze client requirements
- Prepare engineering or construction tenders and contribute to the analysis of technical and financial proposals
- Participate in developing budget estimates
- Ensure compliance with Norda Stelo’s and its clients’ health and safety requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Have 5 to 15 years of experience in an industrial environment (metallurgy, petrochemicals, mining, pulp and paper, chemicals, etc.)
- Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Be proficient in API and ASME standards
- Be fluent in French and have an excellent command of English, both spoken and written
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Be autonomous, proactive, and adaptable
- Demonstrate strong time-management and prioritization skills
- PMP certification is an asset
- Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to petroleum products is an asset
