About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor and lead an assigned Accounting team working with multiple jurisdictions
Ensure compliant service delivery according to Phoenix Group policies and procedures
Understand SLAs and KPIs for Accounting-related business processes
Maintain and update assigned Accounting processes and handle audit queries
Resolve customer queries and complaints within relevant SLAs, escalating queries when needed
Ensure accuracy and completeness of General Ledger data and meet deadlines
Delegate tasks and manage workload
Manage, coach, and develop team members
Support team members in achieving SLA-defined performance and quality standards
Implement initiatives to improve assigned Accounting processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or similar
3+ years of proven knowledge of finance and accounting processes and process improvements, preferably in a Shared Service Center environment
People Leading experience
Strong analytical and organizational skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work under time pressure and tight closing deadlines
Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP
Experience with group reporting is an advantage
Proficient in English, both written and spoken
