About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, and ship features end-to-end, from architecture through production
  • Improve and extend existing services as the platform scales with data volume and customer growth
  • Champion engineering best practices, including clean code, testing, and thoughtful CI/CD
  • Participate actively in planning activities
  • Participate in code reviews and address feedback to improve code quality
  • Share ownership and accountability for the team's codebase
  • Continue developing engineering skills and craft
  • Build tools that turn IoT data into early warnings, predictive insights, case management, work orders, and analytics for clean energy operators

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 7 years of C# development experience building back-end services and APIs
  • Proficiency with databases including Postgres, MySQL, and SQL Server
  • Proficiency with message brokers including Kafka and RabbitMQ
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent English skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions and/or ArgoCD is preferred
  • Previous experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred
  • Experience with database optimization, partitioning, and indexing in Postgres is highly valued
  • English proficiency required to support English-speaking customers and collaborate with teams outside Québec
