Key responsibilities & impact- Write production-quality agents, integrations, and data pipelines on Redpanda ADP inside customer environments and codebases
- Quickly understand unfamiliar codebases, data environments, and constraints
- Own technical deliverables from design through production deployment and clean handoff
- Collaborate daily with customer engineers and ensure integrations fit their existing systems
- Document solutions, train customer teams, and minimize ongoing dependencies
- Identify recurring engagement patterns and relay productization opportunities to Product and Engineering
- Travel 30–50% during active engagements and work on-site when builds are live
- Report to the Director, Customer Engineering
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6–10+ years of professional experience in a combination of software engineering and customer-facing technical roles
- Experience writing production software, including backend systems, data pipelines, APIs, or agent systems
- Experience building agents, working with LLM APIs, or integrating complex systems
- Ability to work in unfamiliar codebases, data environments, and technical stacks
- Ability to work directly with customer engineering teams as a credible technical partner
- Experience shipping software at a customer site or in a deployment context
- U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship
- Pre-IPO B2B SaaS experience in the past 5 years
- Preferred: forward-deployed or customer-embedded engineering experience
- Preferred: streaming or real-time data systems experience (Kafka, Flink, Redpanda, or similar)
- Preferred: regulated-industry or air-gapped-environment experience
- Preferred: experience as the first or only technical person in a customer engagement
