Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) modernization effort.

- Build reusable code and frameworks for data ingestion, data quality validation, and exception handling.
- Optimize data processing jobs for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency in AWS and Databricks.
- Participate in schema design, data modeling, and version-controlled data pipeline development.
- Contribute to data governance, metadata management, and data lineage documentation for audit, compliance, and FISMA reporting.
- Partner with DevOps teams to integrate data pipelines into CI/CD workflows using GitHub, Databricks Repos, and related tools.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve data issues across staging, integration, and production environments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Highly skilled Development Engineer.
- Experience developing data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines across AWS and Databricks-based environments.
- Experience with Delta Lake lakehouse architectures.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Knowledge of scalable data lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with schema design and data modeling.
- Experience with version-controlled data pipeline development.
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage documentation.
- Experience integrating data pipelines into CI/CD workflows using GitHub, Databricks Repos, and related tools.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and resolving data issues across staging, integration, and production environments.
