About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Connect with inbound customers online and over the phone to understand their vehicle purchase needs
- Use CarMax inventory knowledge to guide customers toward suitable vehicles
- Guide customers from online sales or appraisal through finance applications and vehicle delivery scheduling
- Ensure a seamless transition from online to in-store purchasing
- Achieve sales targets while providing an iconic customer experience
- Mentor others as skills develop
- Acquire the Automotive Sales Persons License in specific states
Requirements
What you’ll need- Sales and customer service experience, such as retail, preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment
- Good listening skills and strong customer focus
- High level of self-motivation to achieve performance goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn and master new technologies
- Strong computer skills
- Open availability for shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Openness to shifting schedules two times per year according to business needs
- Must live within 100 miles of the Customer Experience Center (CEC) location
- Must acquire the Automotive Sales Persons License in specific states; testing and travel may be required
