About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and manage all aspects required to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients
- Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals to maximize reimbursement solutions
- Coordinate documents, submissions, and related paperwork with insurance companies and public/federal funding programs
- Implement financial means tests to maximize patients’ prescription drug coverage
- Coordinate pharmacy processes once funding has been obtained
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of public, private, and federal funding mechanisms
- Report all adverse events to assigned units/departments
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service in an office setting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office programs
- Professional, courteous, and efficient telephone manner
- Ability to organize time, set priorities, and multitask to meet competing deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is an asset
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
- Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution industry
- Working knowledge of an automated warehouse operating system
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills
- Effective organizational skills
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines
