Key responsibilities & impact- Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager
- Define and implement project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft Project
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management metrics
- Lead risk management to identify and mitigate risks and issues impacting project delivery
- Contain scope growth through baseline change management
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship
- Work across functional boundaries with internal and external customers and certification agencies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in electrical or software engineering
- Minimum 8 years of project experience or technical CM role developing FAA/EASA certified commercial avionics systems in the Aerospace industry
- Must be a US person for export control work
- Experience with CNS products and PE processes
- Gold Level EVMS certification or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
- Ability to lead teams to fast, practical solutions using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning
- Able to travel to customer and internal Honeywell meetings both domestic and international
- Advanced degree preferred
