About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as Product Manager for a strategic programme with a major Italian institutional partner
- Own and prioritise the programme product backlog against the Partners Bubble roadmap
- Run discovery and delivery with engineering, operations, compliance, finance and investment teams
- Act as day-to-day product counterpart to the partner’s operations and IT teams
- Run discovery across money movement, billing, client and regulatory reporting, and data management
- Translate business, contractual and regulatory requirements into specifications and user stories
- Identify regulatory risks involving CONSOB, Bank of Italy, MiFID and AML, escalating to Compliance and Legal
- Define and track success metrics linked to Partners Bubble goals
- Coordinate delivery across workstreams, dependencies and risks
- Act as Product Owner in Agile ceremonies
- Contribute product input to platform decisions, including data segregation and access
- Run working sessions and workshops in Italian and prepare product updates for the Partners SteerCo
- Support partner and commercial discussions with input on scope, feasibility and timelines
- Help onboard newer team members and exchange constructive feedback
- Use AI daily for research, specification writing, analysis and stakeholder communication
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of direct product management experience, ideally in financial services, wealth management or fintech
- Experience delivering products or platform changes involving an external partner or institutional client
- Comfort with operational and back-office domains such as custody, client money, fees, tax or regulatory reporting
- Ability to turn complex business and regulatory requirements into engineer-ready specifications
- Working knowledge of regulated Italian financial services: CONSOB, Bank of Italy, MiFID, KYC/AML
- Strong collaboration with engineering and design, and ability to influence without formal authority
- Fluent Italian, written and spoken, essential for day-to-day partner work
- Good written and spoken English
- Bias for AI-first ways of working
- Data-driven approach to decisions and clear written communication
- Exposure to asset management operations or outsourcing arrangements
- Experience of a platform or custodian migration
- Experience working between a technology provider and a bank or other financial institution
- Scaleup or startup background
