About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute and develop Normet’s field, on-site, and mid-life services, training, and digital services in the Nordics region
- Lead service execution while ensuring occupational safety, correct working methods, profitability, and efficiency
- Schedule employee work at sites and workshops
- Monitor day-to-day performance to ensure service and quality standards and targets are met
- Ensure employees follow guidelines and work specifications
- Maintain accurate records of job progress, delays, problems, deliveries, changes, and extras
- Provide active leadership and management of personnel
- Execute customer meetings on-site and through remote applications, including pre-planning, reviews, task assignments, and service preparation
- Handle warranties with customers and Normet’s warranty department
- Plan implementation and follow up on bulletin completion
- Report completed projects and activities
- Invoice service visits
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and other financial processes
- Support customer growth and stakeholder relationships
- Provide technical support to employees and customer technicians
- Take overall responsibility for occupational safety and HSEQ compliance
- Support risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and report improvements
- Support creation and updating of HSEQ documentation
- Contribute to product knowledge, learning, development, and competency training
- Stay current with industry developments, competitive offerings, and customer issues
- Contribute to local sales and service teams
- Manage tooling, service vans, PPE, and workwear for Field Engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in mining and aftermarket services
- Proven track record of successful execution and development of on-site and mid-life services
- Recent experience of successfully leading a service engineer team
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in resource planning
- Hands-on and up-to-date competences servicing heavy industry machines, including digital services
- Capacity to operate in a demanding environment with competing priorities
- Elevated responsiveness and organizational and interpersonal skills
- A minimum of 3 years of recent systematic and detail-oriented reporting experience in D365, Power BI, and modern CRM systems
- Strong command of sales tools and account management
- Analytical capabilities are an advantage
- Clear communication capability for dealing with customers
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Finnish, English, and Swedish are required
- Willingness to travel as required, estimated up to 20% of working time, in North Europe
- Budgeting and forecasting management skills
- Retain existing industry certifications, including updates and advancement
