About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage multiple development applications, modification applications and related applications, ensuring timely and accurate assessments
- Act as an expert witness in Land and Environment Court appeals
- Manage and attend S34 Conciliation conferences and hearings
- Attend and present applications at the Northern Beaches Local Planning Panel and Council’s Design and Sustainability Advisory Panel (DSAP)
- Respond to planning enquiries and provide planning advice
- Provide high-level customer service to Northern Beaches residents and stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement of assessment systems, processes and tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience, high level skills and passion for development assessment and planning
- Ability to manage multiple development applications, modification applications and other related applications simultaneously
- Ability to act as an expert witness in Land and Environment Court appeals
- Ability to attend S34 Conciliation conferences and hearings
- Ability to attend and present on applications at the Northern Beaches Local Planning Panel and Council’s Design and Sustainability Advisory Panel (DSAP)
- Ability to provide planning advice and high level customer service to residents and stakeholders
- Commitment to continuous improvement of systems, processes and tools
- Highly motivated, driven and focused
