Key responsibilities & impact- Lead efforts to design, implement software and support systems using industry best-practices
- Serve as a technical leader and mentor by conducting design reviews, guiding junior engineers, and influencing the team's technical roadmap
- Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to identify and implement software solutions to business problems
- Establish and enforce data quality standards, including validation frameworks, anomaly detection, and SLA-driven alerting
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive preventive improvements
- Define and drive engineering best practices, including code reviews, CI/CD for data pipelines, and DataOps principles
- Develop back-end systems powering email security products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar technical field of study
- 8+ years of professional software or data engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on cloud data platforms
- Strong Python programming skills
- Proficiency in coding in any other language, preferably Java and Golang
- Strong understanding of highly distributed architecture
- Experience working with secured APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.)
- Cloud computing experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar)
- Experience in Docker and Kubernetes, preferred
- Experience working with observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana, etc.)
- Strong experience working with agile development teams
- Understanding of best practices in performance tuning
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
