About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
- Greet customers before checking their orders
- Accurately check out customer purchases
- Collect the correct amount due from customers
- Complete register records accurately
- Practice and maintain cash security
- Bag customer orders
- Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes
- Stock merchandise across multiple departments
- Perform other duties assigned by store management
- Complete store-level training
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- Flexible hours and openness to working in multiple departments
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Ability to identify produce items and use produce and product codes
- Ability to distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons
- Ability to process manufacturer coupons
- Ability to use proper procedures for accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers, and other payment options
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work on feet for the entire 4–8 hour shift
