Key responsibilities & impact- Provide matrixed technical and programmatic leadership and support across multiple Space Force program offices
- Support customers in developing cloud and ground architecture, roadmaps, technical capabilities, and products supporting warfighter needs
- Lead technology investigation initiatives with vendors, government organizations, FFRDCs, and contractors
- Prototype, demonstrate, and deliver cyber-secure platform capabilities at Space Force bases, customer locations in Colorado, and mission sites
- Engage with commercial technology leaders on product and technology roadmaps
- Translate technology roadmaps into strategic opportunities for the National Security Space Ground Enterprise
- Prototype, design, and demonstrate cloud computing architectures and services
- Lead innovation in ground-system technologies from the edge to the cloud
- Perform analysis and testing demonstrations of platform, cloud, and cybersecurity technologies
- Work with vendors on customer demonstrations
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and senior management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or other relevant field is required
- 10 or more years of progressively more responsible experience in architecture for software-intensive systems and cloud computing, preferably in the space system domain is required
- Cyber Security certification(s) meeting DoD 8140 requirements
- Hands-on cloud-based platform and architecture work such with AWS or Microsoft Azure
- Experience leading integrated, multidisciplinary, multi-organizational teams
- Experience developing ground system architectures
- Willingness to travel domestically to support customer needs, approximately 10% -15% (as required)
- Current and active TS/SCI security clearance
- Ability to obtain Special Access (SAP), issued by the U.S. government
- U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance
- Advanced degree in a STEM field or other relevant field is preferred
- Experience with processes associated with a government system acquisition and lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience in the development, integration, and test of software and/or data-intensive system architectures
- Demonstrated knowledge in Zero-Trust architecture, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform or other standards-based automation
