About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy using EMDR as a core modality and integrating other approaches as clinically appropriate
Conduct thorough assessments to determine EMDR readiness, including history-taking, stabilization, and resourcing before reprocessing
Deliver EMDR with fidelity to the standard eight-phase protocol, in person and via telehealth

Requirements

What you’ll need

Licensed to practice in the state of Illinois (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist)
Completed EMDR Basic Training through an EMDRIA-approved program (required)
EMDRIA Certification or progress toward certification preferred
Experience treating trauma, PTSD, and complex trauma presentations
Demonstrated proficiency in additional therapeutic modalities
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Strong commitment to Tides’ mission and core values
