About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, test, and implement Epic applications aligned with hospital workflows
Act as a subject matter expert with deep Epic knowledge and multiple certifications across modules
Provide advanced guidance to technical and clinical teams
Analyze operational needs and configure Epic systems to inform workflow decisions
Attend site visits, validation sessions, and integrated sessions
Customize, test, and deploy new Epic features and updates
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting clinical users and workflows
Evaluate new features and releases to improve system functionality and user experience
Work with clinical teams and business partners to align systems with operational requirements
Collaborate with the training team to develop training content and tip sheets
Identify and resolve cross-application issues with relevant teams
Attend team meetings covering deliverables, shared issues, and milestones
Serve as a secondary support contact for application end-users
Participate in on-call rotation and support additional projects and organizational priorities
Report to the Manager, CSI Applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

Multiple Epic Certifications
Beaker Clinical Pathology certification
Beaker Anatomic Pathology certification
Principal Trainer or Credentialed Trainer certifications do not meet this qualification
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, IT, or a related field preferred
Master’s degree is an asset
Minimum two years of hospital clinical and/or hospital information systems experience
4+ years of experience configuring and supporting Epic systems in a healthcare setting
Experience with application build, testing, issue resolution, and workflow integration
Strong background in EHR support, implementation, and optimization
Ability to analyze, test, and configure clinical systems and troubleshoot complex issues
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Commitment to patient and staff safety in a healthcare environment
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
ITIL Certification is an asset
ServiceNow experience is an asset
In good standing, demonstrating strong, consistent performance delivery
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and work extended hours as required
