Key responsibilities & impact- Support data-pipeline development and migration activities for Legacy Data Warehouse (LDW) to Azure Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation across multiple databases (SQL Server 2022, Azure SQL MI, Synapse)
- Develop and debug Python scripts for automation, file ingestion, and data-quality checks
- Assist in building Fabric dataflows, pipelines, and lakehouse tables aligned with enterprise data-modeling standards
- Collaborate with senior engineers on ETL design, optimization, and performance tuning
- Perform unit testing and peer code reviews
- Maintain technical documentation in Confluence/Git
- Monitor data-load processes and assist in resolving job failures, including Zephyr test case execution and JIRA updates
- Learn emerging Azure technologies such as Databricks, Fabric, and Power BI
- Contribute to process-improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience with SQL (T-SQL preferred) and Python scripting
- Basic understanding of data-warehousing concepts (ETL, staging, fact/dimension modeling)
- Exposure to Azure services such as Data Factory, Synapse, or Fabric components
- Strong curiosity, analytical mindset, and attention to detail
- Enthusiasm to learn enterprise-scale systems and deliver high-quality, production-ready code
- Must reside within commuting distance to the greater Boston area
- Must be able to work in a hybrid role with an on-site requirement in Wilmington, MA
