Key responsibilities & impact- Lead challenging data science projects in interdisciplinary teams

- Extract critical insights from customer datasets

Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent degree (M.Sc. or PhD) in a relevant natural science, pharmaceutical, bioinformatics, or data science discipline
- Strong knowledge of data science, machine learning, big data, data and time series analysis, anomaly detection, Bayesian optimization, process optimization, simulation, or modeling of physical systems
- Several years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in a research-oriented R&D environment
- In-depth understanding of the drug discovery and R&D value chain, particularly target identification and validation, hit identification and hit-to-lead, lead optimization, drug candidate evaluation and prioritization, preclinical development, and clinical feasibility
- Ability to discuss complex scientific and technological issues with pharmaceutical and biotech customers and translate them into data science and AI solution approaches
- Strong expertise in analytics toolboxes, particularly Python and relevant libraries
- Knowledge of databases, big data technologies, and Linux, cloud, or container environments
- Experience in consulting, project work, or collaboration with interdisciplinary teams from R&D, data science, IT, and business
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English
- Enjoyment of project-based work, a customer-focused mindset, and a strong interest in industrial processes and R&D-related topics
- Willingness to travel as part of consulting engagements
